Timmy our first cat is in the second two pictures, he was my Dad's baby and dad used to walk around with Timmy around his neck like a scarf. Timmy also had a stool at the dinner table between me and my Dad and he would sit there at breakfast and finish any milk in our bowls when we had cereal.

Married life
Last nights pages the first one show my parents summer holiday 1972 the year they were married and some pictures in their first home. You will see my dog Prince he was a collie lab cross and used to guard me in my pram. Mum could go in a shop and leave me outside in my pram with Prince and if anyone so much as looked at me he told them off, he was my best friend and I adored him. He died while we were away overnight for a cousins wedding when I was 12 or 13 it was such a shock to come home and go to fetch him from our friends' who had looked after him and Ben (our black lab we also had at that time) and find he had died.

My parent's wedding.
I definately enjoyed doing these wedding pictures of my parents more than any of the others so far in the book. I think with the earlier pages I felt so unsure of what to do with the pages knowing what a turmoiled time it was for my dad that it cramped my creativity. I feel starting with the "Peter" page and now with these I am back to my style of scrapping.
These are the first pages that are a true double LO I have tried with the others to have them looking alike as they are on facing pages by using the same paper range but this is meant to be viewed as a DLO :)
Thanks for popping by hope you like the pages :)

A Budgie named Peter.
My Nan and Grandad had many Budgies over the years, I remember seeing the eggs and then the resulting baby birds and how exciting it was to see them. I have always loved all animals and would love a bird but not really fair when we have 2 cats!
Peter was a budgie they had when my dad was young and this is what the journalling reads;
"Peter was not your run of the mill Budgie he spent a great deal of time out of his cage and this appeared to give him ideas! He didn't like his bird seed and feeder he much preferred to stroll around the dinner table and take food off the plate or fork that most appealed to him that day. Here he is pinching dad's dinner"
Beach holiday
Last night it was the turn of some holiday pictures to be scrapped for my Dad's book. These are from a trip to Eastbourne that my Dad went on with his parents, sister and paternal grandparents. I knew both of my great grandparents and remember my great grandmother in particular with much fondness. She was French which I have honoured with the bunting and I loved going for visits to my grandparents. My grandad and I would go to my great grandmother's for breakfast which would be grapefruit followed by croissants and the ever present ribena (she was obsessed with ribena lol). My great grandad was a lovely man but most of my memories of him are from after he developed Alzheimers and he always mistook me for my aunt so it was harder to get to know him and nana was so exuberant he always seemed so quiet in comparison.
Anyhow here are my 2 from last night I am going to do 4 tonight or I will not get it done in time!

School days
I managed another 2 pages of my dad's book last night.I wanted to do more but I was so tired after being kept awake most of sunday night/monday early hours by a poorly daughter. It was very strange seeing school pictures of my dad he looks so different but still the same.
Anyhow quick post with the pics as I am trying to shake a headache. As in my mum's calendar the journalling is written from my Dad's point of view;

Father's Day gift.
After altering the calendar to make a memory book for my Mum for Mother's Day I couldn't really just get my Dad another T-Shirt for Father's Day could I? I have a book in my stash that I had been meaning to use as a scrap book and in my wisdom decided to use that. I wasn't too worried about the 10 1/2 inch square size but I could have fainted when I realised it would take 40 LO's to fill it *EEK!*
As the inside of the front and back covers weren't too great I decided to save myself a little work and stuck the first and last pages to the inside covers saving me 2 LO's lol so only 38 LO's and the front cover to do then. Yesterday I decoreated the front cover and then did the first 4 pages as two DLOs. The first set are from my Dad's very early childhood and I have left the journalling cards blank for my Dad to fill in as his early years weren't the best and he has never told me about them and I only know what I do through my Mum but my Dad isn't aware I know about it.
Sorry about the crappy pics it is so gloomy here it was the best I could get :( The first page has bubble letters that read Early Memories;
