Storytelling Sunday 2

Yes it is Monday and I am late but there is a good reason and it has to do with spoons;
I have Fibromyalgia and ME (and Depression, IBS, Migraines and I could go on but I don't want to bore you this early in the day!) I have been suffering through a bad flare of my Fibro/ME the past 5 days with everything being very difficult so my trip Saturday cost me a great deal physically and it is something I always have to weigh up in the back of my mind. I have to balance whether it is better to do something I really want to do and facing the painful consequences or maintain my health but feel miserable about the limits of my life.
So for my storytelling sunday this week I would like to ask you to take a couple of minutes to follow this link and read The Spoon Theory.

This is me;
You have to smile whatever life throws your way and I may have less spoons than some but I have a great many blessings in my life too. Please join Sian in her storytelling :)

  1. I like this very much. Not everyone has your courage in talking about the health problems you are coping with, and it would be wonderful to think that your story today will reach somebody who needs to hear what you are saying.

    Migraines are miserable. This I do know from personal experience and I'm sorry to hear that you are going through an especially bad patch at the moment. I hope there is a little break in the clouds for you soon..

    Thank you for sharing your story with us today. Much appreciated

  7. Thank-you for the link, and it makes a lot of sense: I see my Mum who has Parkinson's and needs a heart op juggling with spoons every day. Admiring your courage and thanking you for the insight - and hoping you a week full of good days. :)

  12. Thanks for sharing the link - I have a friend with a similar cocktail of woes and it has helped me understand her a little better I think. I shall certainly be less wasteful of my spoon supply in future!
    Sending some virtual spoons your way!
